Autumn

It's my favorite season.... I love Pennsylvania this time of year. In the coming month, it will turn into the most beautiful place on earth to me. Thought I'd share these pictures of my home with you in hopes that it will encourage you to think about how wonderful your home is and to also share it with us. I know I loose site of things that are truely wonderful here...how about you?

I have another photo I'd like to share with you...if only I could find it. hmmm

This was taken at one of the MANY Penn State ( woot! ) branch campuses a few years back.

and...this is a road very near my house that my daughter and I love to take walks on. It's so peaceful.

autumn up north is truly amazing, especially the later part of it.

I remember going to an apple orchard somewhere in PA when I was young, it was so much fun.

I look forward to going to one of the many orchards here and going into the pumpkin patch to find the prefect pumpkin! mr.green Sure, ya get mud all over ya shoes and sometimes it's raining and freakin' cold, but what would life be without some discomfort? lol

Oh...and the smell of fresh apple cider drool and...The Maple Syrup festivals....damn, I love home.

The change of seasons in the North East of the US are truely spectacular. I wish someone would post pics from one of the New England states. I want to make a pilgrimage one day to Mass or Vermont...I hear the Autumn there is second to none.

hrmph wish i could find the pic that I took when I moved back home almost 9 years ago. I was so sad that I had to move back and leave the wild life lol It was the only way to get my ass straightened out and ready to be a grown up though... I was sad when I took the picture, but when I see it now, it reminds me of all the times I shared with my family while growing up.

yeah, I really don't like winter either. The only time I love snow is when the holidays are here, for sledding, and driving. Yes, I said driving in the snow makes me happy. I don't like summer here though because it gets too damn hot and humid for me. If you don't have A/C then you're pretty much out of luck. I know there are far hotter places in the world, but I don't live there and that's one reason why.

see, you have the best of both worlds there, Byron. You can choose your surroundings. I've never been out West. I've been South, North and a few places over seas, but not out West. If I were to only travel thru Pa during the fall, it would look pretty much the same. Nobody has pictures of their seasons? sad

I love Autumn. I simply love it here in Atlanta. THe leaves change colors in the Georgia Mountains and it's gorgeous. I know I sound like a dork. Autumn is simply the best.

Which campus is that? I thought I'd seen 'em all, but that one sure doesn't look familiar.

Oh yeah, and autumn is my favorite time of year too. PA is a great place to be in those months. The Bloomsburg Fair, the pleasant weather, the leaves, pumpkins and cider, Halloween, and the only time on this damn campus when you can get away with wearing a comfortable outfit. Ooh, a hoodie, a comfy pair of jeans and sneakers. So nice... lol

It's the Altoona campus. The picture was taken from the upper side of the pond, near the bookstore. What you are seeing there is the Chapel.

clapping HALLOW'S EVE!!!!! What a great time!

What campus are you attending? They made The Altoona campus the only 4 yr branch campus because they were getting too many people at University Park. I graduated in 2001, so they may have added another 4yr campus since then...I don't know.

Why winter? I like looking at new fallen snow and I LOVE driving in it (must be the danger involved). I dread the thought of Winter though because my daughter snow boards and she comes home hurt just about every time.
