i have been bitching about these damn spiders here for a long time, today, i was packing, and found one in my big mixing bowls.... along with 4 other spiders he ate, because when a brown recluse has to, he will eat his peers to survive, needless to say, he didnt live to get past me, but, he was a big fucker, let me tell ya scared the piss outta me !!!!!


i know its not a huge spider, but, its the effects that will get ya

In all fainess to the spiders lol we had those everywhere in my old home town and I never got bit or heard of too many people getting bit by those nasty things. More people got bit by black widows then the recluse spiders... BUT I STILL HATE THOSE THINGS

My dad used to warn us about the brown recluse. He always said to look for the violin-shaped markings on it.

one bit me on the hip in high school. I thought it was just a bug bite that was irritated, since it was on the waistline where my jeans would be. Put a bandaid over it so it wouldn't get more "irritated". HAHA! Took off the bandaid and a one inch chunk of flesh..one inch deep,and wide. Black and ..okay,, you get the idea...

It wasn't the most toxic spider, because it wasn't as big a reaction as what the pictures show, but it was painful, and to this day underneath the scar (tiny) there is a "dent".
