Thank you for sharing Finess... new self creations are always inspiring when it comes from the depths of our soul... it becomes our visual soul at times when the soul cannot be seen or understood. hug

Sleep... is the only true time my mind "seemingly" rest... even though I know it is still in an active state, just not as busy or consciously known. rose

I've worried and been concerned about so many trivial and serious things so much in my life that I can't even recall a time when I felt totally at peace.

JD... I have admired your words here... your ways of thinking... you seem in such deep search. Am I wrong? I have been in that same state for years... it just very well be... a part of self that truly will never subside. Peace in every sense is my everyday goal... whether as a whole worldwide, locally within my direct environment or simply within my self.

Big hug's... you are definitely one I would treasure to meet. rose

When I was a kid, I used to ride my bike with my friends to Lake Anne center...we'd have about $3.00 in our pockets and it would be enough to last us the entire day here..lol smile We'd buy candy, chips, (I'd buy, yes, a Coke...but it would be in a glass bottle, not a can)...we'd ride our bikes all around the center, climb on the concrete play structures (which now seem rather dangerous and stupid..lol..if you fell, it would have been instant injury)...sit by the lake, occasionally fish (it's the location of my first, last and ONLY fishing experience...which started off with me stepping in dog doo and having about 2 dozen bees sting my ankle...whoo hoo!), ride the paddle boats that were for rent there...many a summer day was wasted at this place. love2

I can still go back there to this day, and be instantly transported back to being a 9 year old, excited about my "day away" spent here.. smile

Beautiful moments shared... hug rose You know our thinking and visual perception are very similar in many ways. Even similar photos take unknowingly. That is something that will always exist, I believe. flower

Beautiful day Byron... I hope today bring you that sense of peace one truly deserves.

looking at the sky and its gorgeous depth in the morning gives me a great sense of peace and comfort.

but beyond everything, i looooove to sit in the backyard, with my two dogs, my cat and my bunny all hanging out, and all being at peace with each other. that's the best.

what brings me peace... when i smell certain smells and they remind me of times passed,
like crayola crayons remind me of summers at my gradmothers house she had a drawer full of coloring books and crayons, happy times. nothing beats the smell of laundry that has been dried on the line outside biggrin

I was just telling a friend yesterday how I'm such an introvert most of the time...that most of the action in my life goes on inside of my own head. I find peace and comfort in thinking..just thinking, a lot of times about nothing at all..and a lot of times about the same things (the repetition of the thought-process brings me peace...OCD?? maybe wink ).

I meditate most days, just to find a clarity in my mind and a peace in my soul..even if its just for 5 minutes. The serenity of the area in which I live, especially at night, when everyone else has gone to bed, is what brings those moments of self-awareness that I so desperately need sometimes.

I'd have to say that my martial arts training brings me the most peace. Working out by myself and being caught up in the moment is when I'm the happiest and feel completely free.

music and woodworking. i listen to my music and sing and all the stress i had before just melts away.
with woodworking i don't have time to dwell on my problems because i have to think about my cut list and what tools work best for the day. a table saw can cut all the stress away. its excercise and therapy making things with your hands. and when your done you can sit back and enjoy the piece of furniture you made. biggrin
