What a terrible movie. It started out well. Who knew that serial killers could live and work in Canada?

Though her suspicions didn't do her very well until it was almost too late.

Ethan Hawke cannot ever be anyone but Ethan Hawke. What a Linklaterian quandary that I wouldn't wish on the most obnoxious Brat Packer...

About halfway through I started wishing I would be the next victim.

Things this movie is good for:
- propping up the short end of a table
- seeing if "it floats" (a la David Letterman) in the East river
- returning to the Video store immediately
- not checking out in the first place

I hope the Director's Cut eliminates the last 45 minutes or so.
