BEGOTTEN was a pretentious drag. people talk about stuff being pretentious. watch that movie. i could hardly get through it. it made a cheesy nine inch nails video look like freakin' "stardust memories" by comparison. bleargh.
and i love anything having to do with annie sprinkle. i got to see her do a one woman show once, but she didn't invite us to look in her hoo hoo like she used to do. she's so incredibly sweet and charming - she can make vaginal fisting sound like baking chocolate chip cookies.

The king of Freaky Wierd Movies...IMO is the Forbidden Zone ...Prepare to enter the Sixth Dimension, a deliriously insane world of frog butlers, topless princesses, machine-gun toting school teachers, chicken boys and the devil himself (Danny Elfman), all ruled by the lascivious midget King Fausto (Herve Villechaize - Tattoo on FANTASY ISLAND) and his deranged Queen (Susan Tyrrell). A feast of visual and aural delights, reaching new found heights of insanity, invention and questionable taste. Propelled by the incredible songs of the one and only Danny Elfman, FORBIDDEN ZONE is an experience like no other.
Eraserhead - The Baby! Freaks - Schlitzy you look wonderful today Basketcase...Claymation gone arwy Beyond the Valley of the Dolls - So special...so very very special. Favorite movie of all time. John Waters - Any...but the most disturbing is Pink Flamingos and Desperate Living...my favorite though is Serial Mom - HANDS DOWN! - Pussy Willows Dottie! Now that sounds like a winner! Like right up my alley. It sounds Hil-ar-i-ous! I dug this up... After her doctors declare her ready to return to society, Ethel leaves the psychiatric hospital and goes to live with her grandmother. She soon develops a few odd habits, in particular a insatiable compulsion to eat massive amounts of food. When grandma locks away the food supply out of fear for her granddaughter's health, Ethel kills her for the keys to the pantry. Left to her own devices, she now indulges her hunger non-stop, murdering anyone who dares to stand in her way. Will anyone be able to put a stop to her? Though I am right now unable to find this movie next stop e-bay.... no. That was a tease! [This message was edited Fri Aug 20 16:49:24 2004 by superspaceboy] Christian Zombie Vampires

Cage actually ate 2 roaches during the filming of that to get that scene right...they wanted to use fake roaches but Cage said "no I want the real ones" Cool movie though I would recomend Buffalo66, Ghostworld, Niagra Niagra and Tape...not scary movies but they are out of the ordinary. Also Cube and HyperCube for the sci fi fans out there...Cube is better than the sequel though. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

I'm surprised no one has said Dead Ringers with Jeremy Irons In Dead Ringers, David Cronenberg tells the chilling story of identical twin gynecologists-suave Elliot and sensitive Beverly, bipolar sides of one personality-who share the same practice, the same apartment, the same women. When a new patient, glamorous actress Claire Niveau, challenges their eerie bond, they descend into a whirlpool of sexual confusion, drugs, and madness.

I just saw a Japanese movie called, "Battle Royale" today. I'd say it was a little weird but highly recommended. I'd also recommend "Samurai Fiction". It's not really weird per se as it is just pretty damn cool. "I ordered no broth! Away with ye lest my cane find your backside!!"- Ralph Wiggum, Actor.

Movies don't come more twisted than Salo, but it's become pretty scarce.
Audition has one of the most abrupt changes in tone I've ever seen in a movie.

Audition has one of the most abrupt changes in tone I've ever seen in a movie. I just borrowed "Audition" from a friend, but have yet to watch it. Someone mentioned "Dead Ringers" also. That is one freaky movie. That and "Boxing Helena". Oh, how about "Lair of the White Worm"?
