I've burried my father today This must have been the shittiest day in my life.
This afternoon i've burried my father who died last monday morning at the age of only 63. Mondaymorning I got a call from my mother at 6 in the morning saying that there was something wrong with my father and that he was probably dead. I was at their house in 5 minutes and arrived before the ambulances did, this also meant that I had to start cpr myself (on my own father!!). When they arrived i had to help them again until I just couldn't do it anymore, so I went downstairs with my mother and my brother. They gave my father those electrical shocks (don't know the english word for it, but you know what I mean.) so we heard his body go up and down from the floor above us. he was pronounced dead at 7. The funeral was today and was attended by some 500 people. Now the three of us have to go on without him, but I don't know how. I just hope my mother can find the strength to go on alone, but she is very strong. Gooey, thank you for your comforting words and for being a mate!! WHAT IF THERE IS NO TOMORROW? THERE WASN'T ONE TODAY! | |

My thoughts are with you. And I am there for you if you need me. Whenever. Hope you realise that that also means at the strangest hours. | |

--- when i saw your post - to anyone (i believe) who has lost a father .... it is shocking ... and hits home ... its amazing that you could try cpr-. i of course think right away geez if i could even remember how to try cpr ... but it is especially sad that he left the world at such a young age ...
my deepest sympathy ... it is neat that you can share and talk about it ... i found that to be especially important ... even now ... a yr + later .... | |

noepie...
I lost my father about seven years ago (it will be seven years on Sept. 8) and I know... You will miss him every day...but, the pain will slowly leave you. When I lost my father it was the most traumatic thing I have ever experienced...it was like living a nightmare. A friend of mine, who has lost her father a few years before, told me that the hole that you feel in your heart never goes away...it just changes shape. I didn't know what she meant at the time...but, I do now. My thoughts go out to you and your family. If you need to talk...send me a note... I'm so truly sorry for your loss there's no words that can take the pain you'd be no doubt all be going through now, but know that with time that pain will become less and turn into hope and celebrating the love you have for him | |

I am so sorry to hear this very sad news. I lost my father 5 years ago this Sept 2nd. It will not be easy for a while, but the pain of the loss will ease, I promise. I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown when I went through that, and was depressed. I never thought I could do it, but slowly the terrible feelings eased and eventually I felt peace.
I still think of him a lot and miss him, but it gets better. I do feel for you, your mother and brother, and will keep you in my prayers. "Did u love somebody
But got no love in return? Did u understand the real meaning of love? That it just is and never yearns" ...Prince | |
