I've got the runs... I can't stop running...been doing a lot of exercise lately to whip my fat into shape.
Just wondering...who goes running, walking or jogging? And what do you listen to if anything? Me, I've been jogging and walking to a fab compilation/boot called Music From The Motion Picture: Under The Cherry Moon that a friend sent me which I think is even better than my favourite Prince album, Parade (it's basically an expanded version of that album, including songs from the movie that aren't on Parade): 1. An Honest Man (vocal version) 2. Christopher Tracy's Parade 3. New Position 4. I Wonder U 5. Mia Bocca (instrumental version) 6. Love or $ 7. Do U Lie? 8. Alexa De Paris (extended version) 9. Girls and Boys 10. Life Can Be So Nice 11. Venus De Milo 12. Under The Cherry Moon 13. Kiss (extended version) 14. Anotherloverholenyohead (extended version) 15. Old Friends 4 Sale (original version) 16. Mountains (extended version) 17. Sometimes It Snows In April 18. An Honest Man (instrumental movie version) . Nice one. I've been doing a little more exercise of late too - weights, playing sport. Still smoking sometimes but not every day, and I've stopped drinking beer. True, I drink vodka instead, but there's less fat in it. I always lose a couple of kilograms staying in Thailand so when I go back to the UK at the end of the month I'm going to try to put on maybe 3 or 4 kgs. I have been too lazy for far too long and it's time to snap out of it.

that's exactly how i feel. except for me i need to lose the weight...even though i'm not exactly "fat". gotta shake this extra girth SOMETIME! p.s. i know how it is not smoking and then smoking sometimes...but i'm only doing that socially these days. keep it up, dude! . I'm a pretty slim guy so I've never been muscular but I've just been wasting away here. I woke up one day and looked at my arms and there was nothing there! I'll be on the exercise bike when I go back to the UK, and jogging hopefully. I'll also stop smoking while I'm there (too damn expensive) but I'm sure I'll start again when I come back here. It's just too cheap at under $1 per packet.

Dude, if you're gonna work out, listen to some friggin' METALLICA.
You'll move mountains! You'll lift tons over your head! You'll leap tall build....o.k. maybe not all that, but some great metal will definitely get you movin' in the gym. Imagine you're on the treadmill and you hear this in your headphones: Darkness imprisoning me All that I see Absolute horror I cannot live I cannot die Trapped in myself Body my holding cell Landmine has taken my sight Taken my speech Taken my hearing Taken my arms Taken my legs Taken my soul Left me with life in hell (hey, it beats 'Sweatin' to the Oldies') [This message was edited Tue Jul 20 8:24:17 2004 by OdysseyMiles]

I myself am a runner. I am currently marathon training so I have been doing some massive runs lately. I was out for almost 2 hours on Sunday running 16 miles. I don't listen to music while I run though.
I also try to make it to the gym but as my weekly milage climbs I find that I sometimes don't make it.

I listen to hardcore hip-hop. Aggressive lyrics and beats are good fuel. When that's not working I'll throw on a lil death metal.

I power walk and go to the gym for cardio workouts. Also love my yoga, meditation, alternative jazz etc....I love music and my taste varies depending on what I'm exercising. For yoga and meditation it's low key chill out, for high impact I put on dance & trance.

I can hardly walk let alone run. For fitness I waddle.

I work out, but I hate cardio. It's at least for 50% a mental thing...besides it's entirely possible to lose bodyfat without cardio.

Cardio is a bitch and takes much dedication and I do agree that it is possible to lose body fat without it though not obtaining maximum results. If you ever want to see ultimate results, DIETING is the only way! Heaps of ppl will dispute this, but sorry it's the truth. No amount of crunches, exercise gadgets or special equipment will make your hard tones magically appear. You cannot spot reduce. In other words, you can't burn fat simply by doing exercises. Your body doesn't work that way. A healthy balanced diet low in sugars and fats with regular exercise is the only way. Weight training is great because it tones up your muscles, giving you a more shapely body. With the right type of exercises, it can broaden your shoulders, trim your waist, lift and tighten your butt, tone your thighs and broaden your chest. As a bonus, weight training also helps to strengthen your bones and tendons, which is essential for helping to prevent injury as you age....
