True love is a fairy tale.
I'm not saying love doesn't exist. I just think when people say true love they think of the ultimate fantasy happily ever after soul mate only one person out there for me thing and that's just all a bunch if bull. |

 I don't think there is a way to technically define love as everyone has their own ideas of what love is to them. I think it also depends on the situation and the people involved. I do however believe "true love" is an emotion you have for something or someone and it can only be "true" if there are no conditions or expectations involved. | |

In fact, I'd even cncede that successful long term relationships have more to do with compataibility, patience, coommunication and understanding than love. Of course there are some that would say those are all components of love. And that's probably true too. |

'True love' I guess is offering somone your being, your time and your energy and having that reciprocated. 'True love' is uncompromising. It's either requited or not. It's all or nothing. It's reaching the heights of emotional bliss. The feeling that you will be happy for life. Perhaps 'true love' is that feeling staying there forever and in that sense, as sad as it seems, I don't think I've experienced 'true love'. | |
