i don't know who sings this damn song, though TOFKA told me once and i didn't recognize the name (that or i blocked it out of my mind), and i don't know the name of the song, though i don't know how it could be called anything other than "I NEED YOU NOW" SONG because that's all the hell he damn SAYS through the whole thing, other than "EEEWWUUUGHHH!!!" "OOOAAAWWWOAAAHHH" and other assorted annoying-ass melisma crap,

and the damn station plays it - I SWEAR - about TEN TIMES A NIGHT!!! one night i realized they had played it THREE TIMES IN ONE HOUR!!!! that's more than most commercials get played!

WHAT THE HELL?!?!?

oh my GOD i hate that song. i'm seriously about to write a letter to the station telling them to knock it the hell off with that song already, because i think we've all heard it now and its boring a damn path through our brains like some kind of vampire worm or some shit.

it's a good song, and Smokey ripps it live, but overplay definitely kills the effect. It's kinda like the Open My Heart filabuster of 1999-2002. I felt like if I heard that song one more time, or saw a poor dance routine set to it one more time, I'd burst!

In my city, it seems that radio DJ's jock anything put out by the Kirk's, Yolanda's and Donnie's of America. They don't look outside these figures for gospel music. I'm not saying that these "gospel-stars" should be completely overlooked, but I am saying that there's more to gospel music than just those few.
