this is running through my head and i want to put it down...

so, off the top i'll call it

I'M A BITCH

i don't know if i'm in love with you anymore
what once was my security
comfortable and familiar
now feels like a prickly wool blanket.

i sucked all the new from you
ingested what i needed and spit out the rest
from that i guess i expect you
to rebuild yourself.

i'm tired of reading the same paper every day.

i'm a bitch.

Fab Five Freddy told me everybody's fly
DJ spinning I said "My My"
Flash is fast flash is cool
Francois c'est pas flashe non due
And you don't stop sure shot
Go out to the parking lot
And you get in your car and drive real far
And you drive all night and then you see a light
And it comes right down and it lands on the ground
And out comes the man from Mars
And you try to run but he's got a gun
And he shoots you dead and he eats your head
And then you're in the man from Mars
You go out at night eating cars
You eat Cadillacs Lincolns too
Mercurys and Subaru
And you don't stop
You keep on eating cars
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

i'd like to think i'm true

genuine

not a fake, though i play it sometimes

i wear my heart on my sleeve

i get my feelings hurt a little too easily

can i get an "amen" from those who also

maybe don't feel smart enough, who play out of their league

get dogged by self doubt

but maybe find a kind, clear shining star who gives them hope.

rise to the challenge and ascend past it.

in reality? probably not. there's a whole lot of sticky mess and awkwardness inherent in hot sex and it may take a little more than a megawatt smile and "hey i loved good will hunting" to get me crucified in a corner.

but then again it may not. damn he's sexy.

Hi Sweetness!

ain't that the truth.

i read something to the effect that our greatest hindrance is the fear that we could become greater than we've ever dared to imagine.

maybe we're destined for greatness, Lleena.

Some are born great, others have greatness thrust upon them. I think you are in the former category.

ooh. don't make me cry, honey.

thank you for those kind words. i feel like my greatness is buried, but maybe i'm unearthing it. it scares me to think i can be 'great'.

i'm not sure i even know what great is.

do you? and not to put the onus just on you Lleena, but anyone?

i guess i'm feeling kind of existential.

I think that not placing any limits on yourself and nurturing the innate talent that you have will allow you to reach heights you have only imagined. Placing obstacles in your path is a natural instinct for most people, they act as a barrier against failure. Dont be afraid to fail, but never give up.

male coworker: why you broadcastin' it?

me: because it bothers me and you need to be bothered by it, too.
