Joy In Repitition - Japanese 7" 1-sided promo - WANTED!! Does anyone know where I can get hold of the ultra rare 1990 JOY IN REPETITION 1-sided 7" Japanese promo?
Apparently only 50 were made and came in plain white die-cut sleeve and the record label was handwritten with a WARNERS logo. I remember seeing it years ago. Is there an edit of the song on there? http://www.twitter.com/ellectrika

I've never heard of it in Japan. As I know, the last 7" promo was for The Arms Of Orion from Batman.
If it came in plain white die-cut sleeve and the record label was handwritten with a WARNERS logo as you mentioned, it's quite unusual in Japan. Generic Japanese vinyl promo comes with printed label. The one you mentioned looks like a kind of acetate. However, the last 7" for commercial release in Japan was Glam Slam. (In this point, vinyl promos for Partyman and The Arms Of Orion were special.) Thus, it's hard to think acetate was made even in the case there was a plan to release Joy In Repetition in Japan. Pressed number of 50 is also strange if those were intended to be acetate. Ellectrika, how did you know that it's Japanese?

Ellectrika, how did you know that it's Japanese? Hiya, I know it's Japanese because it had a few bits of Japanese text printed on the label. I don't know if it was really handwritten, maybe it was the front they used or something but the writing was black and squiggly. I remember it had no center to the record and it was one sided. I can't tell u much else because it was so long ago but I remember the guy (who was selling it) telling me that only 50 were pressed. Sounds like an acetate...you'll be hard pressed to get it (if it exists). Acetates are extremely rare and are only meant to be played a limited number of times. Most fans who have aquired one are not likely to give it up easily since it would be one of the rarest items in their collection.
