deep in the grooves try to get bored with these excerpts from an old soldier thoughts during lulls in last great war battles-The dog's on the hearth and you in your chair-you wonder what is in that pooche's stare-and suddenly feel his silent prayer---for flickering flames and kind humans to share.
How do you relate with a mind so numb-viewing mountains of corpses interned-butchered and slaughtered to leave you dumb-while choked by the stench of others burned. Hush-hush--the hushed dawn-feathered friends on their bough-sharp eyes on a barn cat circling the imobile plough-a field mouse soon she will devour-a pounce a squeak-that dog another scent to seek-but first a bark followed by a farmer's sigh and then a baby's cry disturbed from rest as farmyard critters nearby welcomed the rising sun it's batoned rays signalling another day had begun. Here is a little ode that can only make you feel well-take a deep breath and upon nature's GREEN dwell-breathe out all your sickness into the air above -and KNOW you can be cured by GOD'S free healing love' | |
