Celebration is making its triumphant return in 2022. Like past years, guests can anticipate world class music, celebrity panels, and an opportunity to experience Paisley Park. This year, Celebration will be held the first weekend in June—just as it was when Prince planned them himself in the early 2000s.

i am as well, i don't know whats going on with the website. maybe it will be fixed soon.

Super excited about the D&P Glam Slam show. That was the first Prince concert I saw after moving to Minneapolis. Not much of a live line-up compared to previous years. I saw Brownmark and Mazarati a few years ago. The only 2 members from Mazarati were Craig Ross and Tony Christian. Wonder if Carmen and Mayte will be there on the same day?

Hey Fam! We are, as would be expected, getting lots of messages about this announcement from @officialpaisleypark So, here is what we can tell y’all. The Prince Estate has always had the right to use the trademarked name (NPG) that we have had a license to use since 2017 and so, they have their own configuration of the band performing at this year’s Celebration.

So.... Any ideas who is in the Estate's configuration of NPG?

I'm basing my ideas on the January 11, 1992 (Glam Slam show which will be shown at Celebration 2022) lineup. But I don't think they will include the whole band, some members. Mayte is there & she performed before with the NPG (seperate from PP & The Estate), maybe she will be the [dancer] for the concert? Maybe the lineup also includes Tommy Barbarella (since he did a gig at PP back in December), maybe PP ask him to join this one? Do you think they would include Tony, Damon & Kirk? I'm not sure on that one, most likely not probably. Rosie Gaines is probably not coming, maybe Morris Hayes fill in. Lori & Robia (Diamond & Pearl) Maybe but probably no?? There will most defintely be a horn section. Either Dave Jensen, Kathy J, Michael Nelson, Steve Strand or the later horn NPG section, NPG Q/NPG Jazz. (2012-14) Not really sure.

Uh oh. Hopefully, everything will be cool & respectful. Cause...

But same, I'm looking foward to the Glam Slam gig. It's gonna be fun.

Did Carmen ever perform from her solo record live? Obviously it would be lip synced but that even seems ambitious. Maybe she'll just come out like Apples has done and wave, or throw some souviners into the audience.
