Maybe this should be in marketplace but I'm not selling or buying. Just want to have a conversation about this. I was in Magers & Quinn Booksellers yesterday. It is a funky book shop in Uptown Minneapolis right across the street from Calhoun Square! In a glass case I noticed they had a copy of the Terry Gydesen photo book The Sacrifice of Victor and they wanted $2500 for it! Wowzers! I asked them why it was so valuable and they said it was a first edition hardcover. Rare, out of print and signed by Terry. I'm interested because I have a copy as well and when I got home I checked and lo and behold mine is signed as well. Wonder if I could get $2500 foor it? I'm really not interested in selling any of my Prince stuff but if desperate someday and i got stuff worth this much ya never know.... Of course they are trying to sell it for that much but whether they actually will is another matter.
