what is the biggest amount of money you have SOLD a prince item for?

when N.E.W.S. came out via npg music club, i bought 4 copies. i think they were $15 each. i sold 2 of them for $110 each on ebay a couple of days after i received them.

also, what's the most valuable item you have that you wil NEVER sell? i haven't checked prices on stuff in awhile, but mine's probaby 'the rainbow children' vinyl...

No, I wouldn't sell that one either, even if I'd never play it. I guess it's my original Small Club CD. I heard it could fetch a good price... I don't know how much the original versions of Goldnigga (with Guess Who's Knockin) and Carmen Electra would go for, but I wouldn't sell those either.

Apparently this forum is so desperate for posts that even threads talking about past sales are moved here now.

The most I received for a single Prince-related item was over $500 for a Japanese Paisley Park Mazarati CD. I had two so I sold the one without the obi strip.

The most I received at one sale was $1200 for a lot of Prince magazine covers (around 30 I think) dating back to 1985. The buyer clearly loved Prince and had money to burn. eek

Other than the Undertaker CD, I don't have too many valuable Prince items. Hardly any rare vinyl. Maybe the birthday "Gett Off" 12", but that's not an item I especially treasure.

Kiss (86) and Sexy MF uncut picture discs, both sold well. Had a tax bill to settle and sincerely regret parting with them.

I sold my original first run, one piece neck thru, white cloud from Schecter that I bought via NPGMC for $1500 and sold it for $3000.

But the most value I got was when I sold to some obsessed fan with way to much money who offered €800 for the original Japanese Apollonia 6 CD that I bought for 70 guilders in the 90's (that was about $30-$35 back then, that was the normal price for a japanese import in Holland).
