Just to clarify, I am not the seller nor am I connected in any way to them (!) - just stopped in my tracks slightly when I spotted these.......

Some very strange early Prince 7-inch picture sleeves have appeared on eBay in past few days - am 99% sure that they are fakes, but just wondered if anybody had any further info on them?

Split across 3 x eBay ads - to be fair, seller does say in ads that they don't think they are genuine

As far as I can work out, looks to be selling picture sleeves that I have never seen previously for;

Says most have staple holes and not in the best condition - do people think they are homemade???

I had checked both sites and couldn't find any listing for them - do you think that in itself suggests that they are fake/bootleg sleeves??

I have been collecting Prince for almost 30 years and had never seen any of these for sale anywhere previously - is bugging me as they are actually done pretty well, just well enough for me to wonder whether they were produced by Warners for some reason??

I would be very annoyed if I bought them and then discovered that somebody had made them in their bedroom though!

I have seen the Soft Wet, controversy, and dirty mind for sale before by a different seller a few years ago. I acutually bought one sleeve out of curiosity.

I did not see any obvious mistakes. the record is original of course, but sleeve probably made by a clever fan. An educated fan at that. because they knew a few of singles never had covers.

Look at the Gold Rock N roll is Alive picture sleeve carefully and you can see the misspelling like the infamous Rockard in A funky place. Did u see it?
