FOR SALE: PRINCE Time Capsule* (scrapbook pages) http://www.ebay.com/itm/2...1555.l2648 >>>>> NOTE: This auction ended on 4/21/17<<<<<
120+ pages of Prince scrapbook pages. Each sheet of white bristol paper is approx. 19 5/8" X 17". Both sides are utilized, front and back. (e.g. 2 sheets would be 4 pages worth memorabilia) It is comprised of newspapers, tabloids, magazines, color photos, black and white photos, photocopies, song music, poster fragments, color pencil coloring. Some parts are plastic laminated, but not all. Clippings are glued on pages. Some discoloring, tape residue, bubbling of pages. Etc. It's not perfect, it is excellent. This is a time machine, really. Many pages predate the Internet. Eras are late 80s thru late 90s. Excerpts include but are not limited to: Rolling Stones, Vibe, Guitar, Q, Minneapolis Star Tribune, St. Paul Pioneer Press. --Note: buyer understands that this is NOT a bound scrapbook. These loose pages were a work in progress cut short—not unlike the life of its subject. --International buyers, we love you too! If you win this glorious auction, you will assume any/all international customs charges, etc. * "Time Capsule" not guaranteed to really take you back in time, but it should.

$1,000 It would be a lot cheaper to buy all the complete magazines and articles seperately.

Dear HerecomethePurpleYoda, TrivialPursuit, et al.,
I am sorry if this Marketplace item has offended you. Yes, it might in fact be cheaper to buy all the complete magazines and articles separately--if you had the time and resources. You might find a poster for the original GlamSlam Minneapolis somewhere...a matchbox cover from there too. It's quite possible that someone you know still has a bumper sticker from now defunct Minneapolis radio station WLOL that launched a 'Prince 4 Governor' campaign...it would take a long time to duplicate. It's okay if it's not for you. I get it.
Truth is, I do not know what price to put on this one of a kind thing. Do you? I can't find anything like it. I guess deep down I was risking that someone out there would want this more than me. I've enjoyed it for over 30 years of collecting. The price is what I am willing to part with it for. I thought that maybe parting with this material thing might help me come to terms with the end of an era--one that holds many great memories. I thought maybe it would spread joy to someone else in the world. Maybe it's someone else's turn? I thought that unlike you, there are people who are just getting turned on to Prince, his life, his legacy. This is for them. This is perhaps for that person who grew up with internet, iPhones, iPads, with the world at their fingertips. This is for that person who wants to see how Prince's life was documented in newsprint, magazines, posters, other ephemera and not just by clickable jpegs of pixels on a backlit screen. Maybe?
I do not know you. You do not know me. And "Despite everything, no 1 can dictate who u r 2 other people." Yes, I placed this here to coincide with this week; it makes sense to do it now. Yes, I posted it here where I truly believe someone in our tribe will find value in it; it makes sense to post it here. Yes, I have posted here many times before and successfully found homes for memorabilia that brings great joy to the new owners. This is what the Marketplace is for: Sale/Trade. But, I am not a money grabber.
I respect your opinions greatly. Again, I apologize if I have offended you. I mean no disrespect to you, Prince, or anyone else. After this experience I just may end up not saying goodbye to it after all...and that's okay too.
Peace and Love from Minneapolis,

I like this item but I feel like it would be better to just accept best offer on it or maybe trade it for something you want. I have a scrapbook and consider it priceless.
