I ran into an advert for a "Purple Rain" replica motorcycle in the Washington DC area and called the dealer to inquire. From the information I can gather (from sales, mind you) the seller has put quite a bit of time and effort into this project and has made every attempt to be as close to the original as possible; they claim this motorcycle is a more accurate replica than what is on display in PP.

I've seen quite a few stock CM series bikes bought and sold for anywhere between $1,500-$3,000, but those are without the fairings or reconditioning, and definitely none of the specific custom work. However, even with that in mind, the dealer told me the seller won't consider any offers under $10k. Wayy to rich for my blood, and ±20 hours away...
