Ultra Rare Prince/The Time St. Paul/Mpls. 1982 show poster for auction http://www.letitbe.com/au...poster.jpg Follow ink above to view poster. We are hosting a consignment auction of the shown poster. Here's the deal. The consignor is a big animal welfare supporter, so 50% of the final auction price (all of the Let It Be Records / It Records share) will be donated to the Minnesota Spay Neuter Assistance Program. In addition, Picture Perfect Art & Frame (898 Smith Ave S, West Saint Paul) is donating up to $200 towards the cost of custom framing at their shop for the winner. I consider this to be one of the coolest Prince posters ever, as well as beyond unique. It is a locally made (Mpls/St. Paul) poster to advertise his show (along with The Time) at the Met Center 3/7/1982. This is a super rare one; probably made in a very small quantity to advertise the show and where to buy tickets. The origin of the poster is unclear; it certainly is not a record company one and probably not made by the promoter. Either of those would have put their names and logos on it. My guess is it was made from within the Prince organization. Just the text alone is unique. That they would put (a musical genius) underneath his photo is beyond funny. The rest of the text seems to be tongue-in-cheek as well. Keep in mind this is pre-1999, Purple Rain, and worldwide domination. An exhaustive online search has not turned up another copy mentioned or sold anywhere. We have chosen to auction and display this locally rather than Ebay or another online auction house. We would love to have someone locally win it, but bidding will be open to anyone. Poster details: Auction details: The current high bid will be posted at It Records / findfurnish Bids have to be at least $10 over the previous high bidder to be accepted. You can bid two different ways. You can place a regular bid as well as a ceiling bid. The ceiling bid is the highest price you are willing to bid on the item. For example, you place a regular bid of $400 but a ceiling bid of $600. So if your bid is $400, someone comes along and bids $410, we would raise your bid automatically to $420. Once it goes over your ceiling price, your bidding is done unless you decide to raise your bid after that. If you choose to be notified that your ceiling bid has been beaten, we can arrange to do that. Ways to bid: If someone outside the metro area wins it they will be responsible for any secure shipping costs. Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
