I just got turned on to One Nite Alone. Listened to a couple tracks...it is Freakin Bad...Epic...so much sound..got to have it..Saw it for $400...oh hell no...any suggestions as to where I can get it for less?

Hi guys. Are you talking about One Nite Alone Live or One Nite Alone...Solo Piano an Voice by Prince (which is AMAZING!!!! but a totally different album and feel/sound/concept). The Piano and Voice one seems to be just in the studio, but it's as if he recorded it all by himself, alone, piano and Prince alone..even at the end you hear him get up and walk out the door (I think). Anyway, this one is AMAZING. I also like the ONA Live one, but it's not the same as the studio one. The piano and voice one is far better IMHO and something I could listen to every night as I drift off to sleep. It's beautiful, it's raw and it's pure Prince love. Every single song is dripping with soul and emotion. The piano melody is haunting. This album is pure magic and I only discovered it just this year. Every song is a gem. WORTH THE LISTEN FOR SURE.

As for the ONA Live one, there is no better version of 1+1+1 is 3 anywhere in my opinion (you just gotta dance, and I love the "sweat this suit out" line. I love the live one as well, although I noticed on the ORG, at least when I searched ONA, it's not an album many people place it very high on thier list, which is kind of odd, but to each his/her own.

I had no idea that there are 3 ONA albums..I got the live one, but I guess there's an afterparty one too called it aint over. I love his live stuff. it gives me chills..his spirit comes through. I must confess..all the years I've been following Prince and I never saw him live, I hate big stadium venues but I didn't know there were other options..I have so much regret!

I agree. There is a lot I didnt know either. To be a fan in the later years, you really had to search out options on how to buy and find out things about him. I remember trying to buy the 20ten album and finding out you had to buy a paper in London. I researched and never could figure out how to do it exactly (at least easily), so I gave up trying to get his stuff for a while. I regret giving up. I saw him live twice though THANK GOD. Once in Vegas at the Rio (3121) and it was a smaller venue..was right up front and 5 months pregnant! LOL Then Welcome to America tour in NYC when Kim K got booted off the stage. Both were amazing. Wish I would have seen more! Lots of regrets now that he's gone.

Yeah the ONA album I show above is not live. I love his live stuff too, but I swear this album is worth it. If you like his chill stuff. I love all of his music, so... It's very beautiful and intimate. I think you would like it a lot. The piano is haunting in some parts. I love it. I woke up this morning with "Young and Beautiful" in my head.

Also...I finally had my first dream about him last night! It was me and my family and we were going to stay with him for a little vacation in a house by the sea. (might have to do with reading about his house in Spain a few weeks ago). Anyway mostly just driving there to the house (with him in the car with us). There were 3 cars attached to each other but all accessable from inside...like a train. They were yellow, I do remember that. And each were the shape of a Voltswagon Bug. ha ha He made a comment about normally liking to drive himself, but being driven by someone was nicer than he thought (there was a driver escoring us all). When we got there I realized I forgot my bathing suit, extra contacts and all my makeup. I was going to send for it. Then I woke up. LOL Not much there, but still. Finally a dream about him.
