There are two I visist every time I'm in central London. For used records/cd's etc try Reckless in Berwick Street Soho and almost next door is Sister Ray (mainly new though). Soho/Berwick St used to be flooded with record shops but they're almost all gone now. Another good one in Soho is Phonica on Poland St, though that is quite specialist. Rough Trade East is a good bet too and it's just off Brick Lane. Have a look here too http://www.timeout.com/lo...usic-shops

Some good shops in the Time Out link but no mention of the Music & Video Exchange shops in Notting Hill. Definitely check them out.

It's about 10 minutes on the tube from Oxford Circus (Soho) to Notting Hill Gate and about 2 minutes walk from the station, so pretty close by!
