The disc looks quite convincing compared to other fake WB cd's, or maybe the bootleggers are getting better at their game. Bad picture too.

is there enough demand for the Krush Groove CD to make it worth their while?

Good point, plus as you mention eil seem like a trustworthy company. I have used them a lot in the past myself.

EIL are generally trustworthy, but they don't check there facts like they used to, so still do your homework.

I remember when they used to be a small dealer in Record Collector. I got my Lets Work UK 12" from them for £18 in 1985. I thought the price was a rip off the time, but it was one of the final pieces of the jigsaw.

The one in the picture on eBay says "Made in Japan," though it's hard to see. Do you have an authentic copy to compare to this one?

Please exscuse this next post if you are not the person I was dealing with and I apoligize.

I bought some "set lists" from a gent last year and got total photo copies, meaning each one was run through the scanner/printer at the same time. The person on e-bay claimed they bought them from a "Prince Fan" and had no knowledge of their origin. I was a bit concerned when they said that they had no knowledge when the seller indeed collected used Prince concert tickets, how would some one who collected these types of things claim to be a casual fan and not know they were copied lists?

I got my money back but like I said, if you are not the person, I apoligize. I have their e-mail in my ebay account, your profile name matches theirs perfectly, even the used Prince ticket thing, I think their first name is Robert?

Please forgive me if I am wrong but I will put all the details up shortly of this liar.

fast payment / I collect used Prince concert tickets : roaldbakker@hotmail.com (right from my ebay feedback)

That's not you is it?

I have stuff in my collection that would make Prince send the police to my door and this guy tried to pass off a bunch of photo copies (get this, all on the same type of paper, brand new even though the concerts were 5 years apart) as stuff taken from the stage.

Forgive me if I am wrong but I just got my collection shipped to me a few weeks ago here and the fakes just made want to address this.

Didn't mean to taek things off topic but figured "fans being conned" would be the perfect thread to post this.

since ages i'm looking for a Krush Groove CD, but it's the lowest priority on my wantlist because it's "only" Holly Rock on it (and i have all released vinyl versions)

i observed the recent years on eBay many offered Krush Groove CD's, if you will do it too, please pay attention to the various sellers locations and the layouts & pictures of the auctions, you will note that there's a group of german sellers they offer every few months a "original disc/not CD-R" and each time they using the same pictures, the same playlists, start price is £ 0,99 and the auction and feedback is always a private listing . . . also the final price is mostly in the same range around £ 30,-- won by a sniper...

i collect since decades and i know some colletors ho have a real one, but i never found a person who really owns a CD from the auctions i described . . .

some sellers i know yet are

trinkbecher

geselle090

benqu3

The copy I ordered from Eil arrived today and I'm listening to it now. It looks like a genuine Japanese WPCP pressing to me. It's missing the obi, but since it wasn't sealed that doesn't mean it's a fake. It does have the standard Japanese lyric sheet. The only question is whether the official Japanese pressing included the extended versions of Debbie Harry's "Feel The Spin" and Chaka Khan's "(Krush Groove) Can't Stop the Street" as bonus tracks. If so, I think the copy I got is probably genuine. I certainly don't want to make Chaka mad. lol

As far as I know (which is very limited) the Cd version (Japanesse been the only CD version) had these on them...so I think you got lucky...Congrats!!

And in relation to NPGMC promos....after yet another rare set has been sold...another hits the market with 10 bids already.....what are the chances that one of the bidders is the burner... I mean seller..???

Seller is ronny69music from The Netherlands with his large selection of Rare Promos (RP = Replica Prints)

Ronny69music is still going...his latest set are the City light Vol1-6....free postege if bought without Jewel cases!!!

No jewel cases..Means these are defiantly boots

So leads me to believe that he dropped the files, and is cashing in on others free shares...Latest bidding is $265.....for CDRs with a little link.

Original filess cost him nothing ...yet he'll get 250 (At least) a week from each sale......you could live of copying your collection

I own the japanese Krush Groove CD. Shall I check if it has these songs on it? Or do you need any other info about it?

Oh and sorry that I see this thread only now when you already got the CD.....

Okay, I looked for it and I have it here in front of me now and yes it has these 2 bonus tracks. Mine has the obi too and of course the lyric sheet. And from what I can see of the blurry photo from the ebay auction it looks the same as that one. Hope that helps wink.
