Another Apollonia 6 CD is currently being offered on eBay:

As has been discussed in another thread, this CD was only issued in Japan and is one of the rarest official Prince-related releases. The Buy-it-Now price is $1,000, and bids begin at $850. I bought a copy of the same CD from this seller and am convinced it is genuine. Just thought I would pass the information along.

I got it (my copy, not the one currently for sale). I meant that I examined it closely (looking at the inner ring matrix numbers, the sharpness of the images on the booklet, etc.), and compared it to a photograph of a known genuine copy, and I'm satisfied that mine is the real thing, so I assume this one is as well because it's the same seller. There are lots and lots of fakes of this CD out there, as you may know.

It's not my auction. The seller is a guy in Florida, and if you look at his other items, you'll see he specializes in rare Japanese CDs in general, not Prince stuff in particular. If you think this one is overpriced, don't buy it. I have seen fakes for sale at the prices you mention.
