I have decided to let go a few of my beauties in my personal Prince collection. (More to come over the next few days). Our appartment is becoming too small with our baby boy of 10 months 'invading my Prince area'

This particular copy is one of the rarest and most sought after 12" vinyl. As far as I know this is the only known version of Prince's song 'Whistlin' Kenny'.

Personally, I very much like the song, albeit not a typical Prince song, to say the least, but definitely a must have.

A few months ago, a copy was sold on Ebay for 99 pounds! (In fact, it was the only time I actually saw this copy showing up on Ebay in many years.)

I have two copies available. 1 still sealed!!!!, the other copy NM/M condition.

If no serious offers, I will put it on Ebay in a few days from now, but I prefer this copy to go to a Prince fam.

you shouldn't believe everything that happen on eBay: sometimes "friends" create a legendary Price by faked auctions and use it as reference for a high asking price.

I'm not saying 99 Pounds is the right price either. Something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

(By the way, I'm collecting Prince vinyl since 1984 so see myself a bit as an expert too. It's just becoming too much and want to go back to basics and keep those records with a great personal history to it.)

So what do uber collectors think would be a fair price for this? I've only seen 1 copy (which I bought) so it's rare, surely.

depends on the collection parameters, the budged & patience: if already 51 Hours, Strange Tales, TRC Vinyl, Come On/The One 12", Mayte 12" & JUNE-7 12" etc. etc. are collected = you need it - NOW (and you won't care for the price) but as long the above listed category is still incomplette . . .
