i just put up strange tales from the rain and my sealed rainbow children...but i wont part with them unless i get a great offer.

its always so hard to part with this stuff.. but also hard to justify holding on to something that you are afraid to listen to!

It is hard to do. I have held on to a lot of items for a long time and it's just time to let go of some of them. I have never been a big vinyl collector compared to other people I know. I figured now's as good a time as any and it will go to a collector that will cherish it.

Question: I read on your e-bay page that the album is numbered #068 and the sleeve is black. According to http://www.theblackalbum.info/ it is believed (I choose my words carefully! Haha) only range #070-#106 comes in a black sleeve. Can you explain? Also, I can only find one picture of your copy of the album. Why not pictures of both sides of the album and sleeve?

Sorry if I sound a little suspicious. I still am an enthousiastic collector of Prince vinyl, but $300+ is a lot of money.

The range I mention on the site is based on photo evidence for whites from 70-106. But it is possible that it will extend when other appear like this one (68). I will try to rephrase the part at bit to make less 'boldly stating the borders of the range'.

I think it is a bit steep. Last year the 1st grey (as far as I know) swapped hands over $1.000.

The one from 2007/2008 with $1.093 was a dud by a fake bidder.

Yormeister should also have a 001 so it's a double and I reckon he will be in the game too when someone bids an amount between $1.500 and $2.500.

Weigh the options : Does the car or record transport me through town

Jeff is very helpful. He wrote me that the white ones with the black sleeves where 'rejects' due to quality issues. and were replace by a new batch.

Through other channels they then came available afterwards with a 'generic' black sleeve.

I have to check the last part because I'm not sure generic means all black or all black but with serial.

to make it more complicated indeed ...

* my tespressing has a black sleeve with lettering on the spine and a promo stamped white sleeve (it came with 2 sleeves)

* my grey vinyl came with both black and white sleeves

* my white vinyl came with a white sleeve

* my peach vinyl came with a black sleeve with lettering on the spine (bought it at Concerto btw)
