This may not technically be a news item, but I wanted to warn everyone about a pirated CD on eBay. It's the Apollonia 6 CD... the auction states that it's an import (the original was a Warner Brothers Japan release) and it's the "holy grail for Prince collectors" (the original goes for $300 or more).

Well, it's an import alright... a pirated import. It's on "Starborne Records," who I'm sure was never licensed to release this album. I haven't even opened it and I can tell that the contents must be terrible. The artwork is badly reproduced, that's for sure. And I'm told by another sucker on alt.music.prince that the sound quality is sub-par and many tracks are cut off.
