FOR SALE: Hohner The Prinz Hi there,
My Hohner The Prinz is for sale now, 1.200 EUR or best offer.
Youre surely know all about this great, beautifull and rare guitar, so i just provide you the facts of mine.
I gues the guitar was build in 1986. There are two lables, one on the back of the headstock which says WO 201086 and one on the body next to the neck pocket wich says 862...(nothing more readable).
The guitar seems to be 100% original. The electronic is untouched, no re-soldering, no replacements of parts. The pots are working well but rustle in some positions(i think, every vintage pot do so). The pickups are original and working perfect. The complete Hardware works faultless. The machine heads wearing a little patina on its back. The Neckplate have a few scratches, the control plate looks nearly new. No rust(well, maybe a little in some slits of the screws). The pickguards have light wear but no cracks. The body has just light wear on the top and back and a very few dents on the side. The Neck is absolutely straight, the frets have only very light wear, the trusrod works perfect and the action is perfect low. There is also light wear on the Neck and there is a dent on the headstock.
All in all the guitar is not mint but in very good condition, just wearing nice patina. It was a player and it is a player but could also be a collectors item.
The Specs: Maple Body with Flamed Maple Top und Bottom Set, Walnut Center Stripe Tortoise Binding Tortoise Pickguard Tortoise Bridge Pickup Plate Maple Neck Walnut Skunkstripe 4x Set Neck Neck Angle adjustment (like on some 70's Fender) Telecaster Headstock Bullet Trusrod Rollertree Bridge, Machine Heads manufacturer unknown, could be Wilkinson. Pickups are from Hohner i assume.
I am not an expert for Hohner guitars, so if someone know something better, please let me know.
