FOR SALE: Prince's stage piano!!

Hello ...

I worked for Prince in the early 1990's as a midi technician for several tours. One of the perks was being able to purchase the used gear when it had been replaced or upgraded.

I currently have a used Yamaha KX88 that is still in great working condition. This keyboard was purchased in 1990 for installation in the purple grand piano used on stage by Prince during the Diamonds & Pearls world tour, and the Act I & Act II tours of the US and Europe. The keyboard was decommissioned in 1994 and has been in my possesion ever since!

I'm selling it on eBay at this address:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eB...0526502933

A used KX88 normally sells for between US$700 and US$1000. Since this is a actually Prince's piano, and therefore a one-of-a-kind collector's item, I've listed it for US$4000 or best offer. Please feel free to offer what you believe it's worth. I personally believe it's worth much more than that.

I'm also including a "Love God" guitar pick that was recently found inside the chassis of the unit while it was being cleaned and serviced, as well as a copy of the Act II tour schedule book which lists my name as a midi technician for authenticity.

Thank you.

Very cool.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I'm confused as to why the 1998 era Emancipation picture is on the eBay page, if the keyboard was decommissioned in 1994.

Why not scan the tour book w/ the 'authenticity' note w/ the seller's name, since he was allegedly the midi-technician on the tour(s).

You read my mind.
There is indeed more needed in order to convince this is the real thing.

I'm confused that a keyboard can be "Decommissioned." It's not like it is a Battleship in the Navy or something. Can you see Prince telling Mr Hayes...Hey Hayes...that keyboard has been Decommissioned!!! Take your Damb hands off of it!!!! Too bad Tony M wasn't Decommissioned in rehersal. His participation in Prince's career is like the most sad thing I think of when I think of the career that could have been.
