Hello everybody.

My wife just got me a Hohner Artist as a suprise. Its brand new but I dont want it. I am happy with my Telecaster. I therefore want to sell it but dont know how much i should ask for it. Whats the going rate? I have not even playes the guitar once.

Lemme get this straight your wife buys you a new guitar and you dont want it? You should be kissing her ass 1st of all. secondly you could never had enough guitars. 3rdly your wife should fuck you up!!

In terms of the guitar, as a musicianI believe in being original. My telecasters a custom build and it is a form of self expression. I dont see the point in performing to a crowd by using a guitar associated with another artist. That would be like prince starting to wear shiny socks! (if you can understand my point)

Thats why im selling it.

Well, I would not buy her a ring if she already had a ring made just for her. But even if I did, I really would not mind what she did with it. I mean, she does not mind me selling the guitar.

When you give someone a gift, you should not have the thought of being appreciated for it and what they do with it. Once given, its theres to do as they please. If the receiver had to account for the gift to the giver, i thinks that wrong.
