fuck, i was hoping fury was slightly remixed since the version that plays
on the npgmc intro page sounds like the guitar is mixed way more up front
than the album version

omg

I think its a great great song, but it is lacking chorus, which hopefully will be taken over by a kick ass video! Basically the melody IS the chorus, which P does alot...which makes him unique.

This video HAS to be hot or this song will sink like a log. I hope radio plays it but I won't hold my breath. I agree, the lack of a chorus is a strike against it but if people hear it and have the same reaction it had online in February, then the world may finally start changing in the right direction for our lil fellow.

Right, it's not like the single is gonna go anywhere on the charts. Maybe if the SNL version was the b-side, I'd be interested in buying it, but as it is, there's nothing to see here. Move along.

this is gonna be the first album where i'm buying none of the singels.

musicology came close, but at least Cinamon Girl had a few decent b's
in Dear Mister Man live and United States of Division.

but what's the point in even releasing singles these days if there's
no bonus on it? why not just release the "singles" to radio and tv?

My mom (who likes Prince alot, but is not a hard-core 'fan') is not really diggin it. We heard 3121 on the radio and she said "That's horrible." sad
She wasn't impressed with Black Sweat either. It's frustrating 'cause I know if she just heard Love she'd like it alot. Maybe she'll come around. I hope.

I really spent enough money on him and when he puts out something worth to me, I will buy it the day it's released. But I sure won't buy a single of two songs which I have in exactly that version, just to "support" a multi-millionaire.

No off-album b-side?
and with Love as the b-side, that means it won't be an A-side of it's own sad

Could go to two different types of radio markets, like "I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man" and "Hot Thing" did even though "Hot Thing" was considered a "B-Side" officially.

stop it. this reminds me of my mom playing her led zep records
and dancing around the livingroom playing air guitar to them..

and then there was that time she had the maxi single for AC/DC
"thunderstruck", which was even worse. she would blast the shit
out of that single every day.

the cool part tho is that she's just this small "pretty" lady
who you would expect listens to mozart lol.

but still, that shit is just wrong

I think your statement is really strange... Support someone who does not even consider it worthwhile putting a new song/remix out for the single so his fans get something new? Someone who has sold x million record, and netted in 50 million+ dollars in 2004? Prince is not exactly an up-coming artist that needs support...

very true. what's more, i've got enough of his albums and singles lying
around here. in fact i got all of them that had something worthwhile on
them.

but i would never in a million years even consider buying singles like
the ones Prince is releasing now. what's the point? pushing him up the
charts? if that's what he wants he should include 2 new songs and some
decent remixes on every single, that would help push them.
