Hi org! I'm sure most of you know this, but Prince was a huge fan of Sly Stone in junior high/high school and looked up to him a lot (Sly was arguably his most significant musical influence of all time).

Sly Stone cut an album for Warner Bros in 1979 which many consider to be his last great album. This is one of my top two favorite Sly Stone albums of all time.

When Prince was recording his first album "For You" in Sausalito, CA, he tried to meet Sly Stone. It was while Sly was working on tracks for the CD I'm selling that Prince attempted to meet him.

Anyway, for those of you that collect CDs by Prince's influences, associates, etc., or if you own most of Sly Stone's albums, or if you just love funk, you will definitely want to get this CD.

The CD is called "Back On The Right Track", and it is next to impossible to find an authentic CD copy of this album. There are a bunch of poor-quality reissues on other labels (one of them I own was made from the Vinyl LP) and there are even releases under this title that aren't even the same music, just random collections of old pre-Columbia Sly Stone material.

This CD was never released in the US, and it is now out of print in Japan, which is one of the few places it was ever released. And CDs manufactured in Japan are the highest quality anywhere in the world.

The sound quality of the CD I'm selling is amazing, because it is an authentic Warner Bros release made directly from the original master tapes they own. It's light-years better than the other reissues of this album out there. I know because I own another copy of the release I'm selling, plus copies of several other releases I bought before I could get my hands on the Japanese version.

The copy I'm selling is brand new and still sealed.
