Somebody help me! I have "The Gold Experience" on cassette but the sound is getting bad, so I thought I could go to the local music store and buy it on cd. I have gone to 5 different stores and they have every Prince album except that one and "The Black Album" Gold wasn't a limted edition album was it? I tried special ordering it and was told Warners doesn't print it anymore. WTF? I still see "For You" floatin' around so why not an album made in 1995? Does ANYBODY know where or how I can get this album on cd?

I'd say try some more stores--one is bound to have it. It wasn't a "limited edition" any more than any of the other CDs... half.com has a few copies listed, try this link...

It is officially out of print meaning it is very tough to find new in stores. I haven't seen it anywhere for a couple of years now. I see it from time to time in used cd stores around town.

One of the stores has caught onto the fact that it rare and is now asking $24.99 for a used cd. What a joke.

Ebay is a good place to look.

I was at Wal-Mart and they had about 30 of them in a discount bin for $5.99.

Try stores in the UK. I've seen a few copies around.

If it's any consolation to you, it took me over three years to get this disc in mint condition. It might not have been a "limited edition", but it certainly seems to have had very low distribution after its release. Any ideas as to why this was so???

I got this CD (new) off of eBay for 8 bucks...

However, it is from Columbia House and printed in Canada so I'm not sure if it's any different from the ones printed in the US.
