Does anyone Have a total Vanity collection? I always wish Vanity had not left the 6,but I often forget that she went on to do 2 more recordings as well as more Videos.
Does anyone have everything she did? We all want a big hit again because
we want to relive the Hysteria & Pandemonium we experienced when Purple Rain was Hot. Actually, he doesn't care if it happens again or not. | |

if someone does have everything then you'll have to shout very loudly

Does anyone have everything she did? i have a great deal of her material and posters including a scrapbook of articles. there is a lot that is being sold on ebay now, so u may want to keep watch. Stand 4 something or fall for anything. | |

Scrapbook articles? worthless. I have Vanity 6 CD, and her 2 solo Motown albums on vinyl. I also have the 2 songs from the Action Jackson film (Undress is the funliest thing she ever did other than Nasty Girl) and 7th Heaven from The Last Dragon movie. I even have a early demo of her doing Sex Shooter before Apollonia came along. I dont think there is anything else from her - unless you count her Playboy spread which I have saved all these years and Tanya's Island which is now on a cheap ass DVD but does feature a completely naked and very young Denise Matthews. [Edited 6/10/05 7:21am] There's a third song on the Action Jackson soundtrack credited to Vanity. It's a remake of "Shotgun" billed as a duet with David Koz, but Vanity's vocals are pretty much relegated to the background. You can barely hear her on it. I've also seen another 12" floating around from the 80s by an artist named Vanity called "I Want To Be Your Bodyguard". I have no idea if this is the same Vanity or some other artist or group with the same name. I do know there is a death metal band called Vanity that formed later, but this mystery 12" isn't them either. | |
