You comment made me recall a peanut bar in uptown Minneapolis. Perhaps it is because of the Squirrel in your icon.

Anyways you go downstairs and they had unlimited baskets of peanuts to give you while you drank. People would throw their peanut shells on the floor. At first I thought it was wrong to do so. But I guess that is what a peanut bar is all about (throwing your shells on the floor). It was a cool place to go with good music. I can't think of the name but I know Prince use to go there when he was young.

Ahh...the life we recall in our old age. What pub did you go to SM? Did you chug down beer or something else?

I need to take a trip to England. One place on earth I haven't seen. Sending my step daughter over to Paris this month. I hope she has a memorable time.

Yea thats the place. In the basement was the peanut bar (I am not sure if thats what it was called). Kind of a cool little hang out downstairs. Then there is the first floor which was yuppyville and then upstairs. I think upstairs you to have some funk night there. Thats the cool place. Prince always sat to the right of any stage on the second floor (or was it left?). At least any time I seen him in the club. Thats where he always had his seat. I gave up my seat for Prince at Bunkers. Shook his hand. He was kinda tight with the hand shake, almost stingy like - not relaxed. But who could blame him. I am 6' 4" and maybe he was worried I would get a good grab of his hand and toss him into the soundboard!

It must get old shaking peoples hands all the time when your a person like him. Especially when you just want to relax and enjoy the music.

Ingrid use to live above a record store back then. Was it the one on Lyndale?

Yeah, they actually called it "The Peanut Bar". I never saw Prince there, so cool for you. I read an interview where Prince didn't like to shake hands cuz folks want to be all aggressive and squash his fingers, so he tried not to do it at all. I'm not sure which record store Ingrid lived above. Maybe you're thinking of Oarfolkjokopus. Got my first Prince bootleg vinyl there (Chocolate Box).

Not Oar folk. I think it had Garage in the title.

That Oar folk guy use to be paranoid about his boots. He hid them behind the counter and was always worried Prince was going to send someone in.

Cool store though when it was around.

What about PC? Prince use to go there all the time.
