Hello everyone. I am new to the collecting aspect of Prince. As a matter of fact I can name everything I can name everything I have.

Six posters:
One from the album, of Prince and band.
A promo poster that shows the symbol and says "coming soon" below it.
Prince w/ black cloud guitar (Popular poster from around the time of the love symbol album.)
Prince 'The Hits/B Sides' promo poster
A poster of Prince in a purple suit, stepping out of a limo. (from the back of the Purple Melody cd)
And finally an ad from Glam Slam...it says "local music every teusday night unleashed...$1 beer specials"

A 1993 NPG Store catalouge

A rare tin with a big color booklet and four 24k gold cds; the songs are moslty B-sides and remixs.

And finally a guitar pick that I watched the man use...from ultimate live experience.

I am starting now where I think is the best place to start my collection; with all the official albums on vinal. By official, I mean the studio albums, not singles, or interviews, or EPs. Just all the official releases. Including, from newest to oldest...

Musicology, One Nite Alone, The Rainbow Children, Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic, The Vault… Old Friends 4 Sale, The Truth, Crystal Ball, Emancipation, Chaos and Disorder, The Gold Experience, Come, Black Album, , Diamonds and Pearls, Graffiti Bridge, Batman, Lovesexy, Sign O' The Times, Parade, Around The World in a Day, Purple Rain, 1999, Controversy, Dirty Mind, and For You

I so far have, Dirty Mind, Controversy, 1999, Purple Rain, Around the World In A Day, Lovesexy, Graffiti Bridge, , The Black Album, and Come.

I am wondering what is not availble on vinal and where would be the best places to look for them? My mom has a great collection, in fact she just gave me all the vinal I have now because she had 3 or four copies of each one...assuming there are others like mom...I was wondering, if anyone had any extra copies of any of the vinal I needed, maybe they could see it in their hearts to send it to me; assuming its not rare, or anything extreamly special. I would gladly pay shipping and if you dont want to just give me them I would pay for them as well. The albums I still need are...

Parade, Sign 'O' the Times, Batman, Diamonds and Pearls, The Gold Experiance, Chaos and Disorder, Emancipation, Crystal Ball, Old Friends for Sale (which I doubt is on vinal) Rave Unto the Joy Fantastic, The Rainbow Children, One Night Alone, and Musicology...

You won't catch hell for discussing boots. Bootleg discussions are usually pretty fun. You just can't ask where to get them or try to sell or trade.

There are tons of professionally made bootlegs, factory pressed, with pro-made booklets by many different labels. Often they can be found at non-chain music stores. It's illegal for the stores to sell them, and they usually keep boots on the down low. Buyer beware when it comes to sound quality of course.

The boot set that you have is pretty cool(I have it too). I love the tin with the embossed symbol on it. It's an older set, so there are now better sounding 12" compilations... but at the time it was the shit.
