Saw this in nyc alternative music store...I was shown a bit of it looks good but wanted to know if someone on this blog knew more about it or could give me thumbs up or thumbs down on it...

It's a bootleg. If it is the Ladybird version, it has the best video quality of any circulating version, although they have looped one 5 second section for some reason but you'll probably never notice. The audio however is well below par, surprising as the previous incarnation of Ladybird actually released the best audio bootleg of it. There is another version that was made by a fan (Superball's Boogie 2Nite Enhanced) that used the menus and video from this one but replaced the audio with the better version, and included the performance of Endorphinmachine from that night as a bonus. Much better one to acquire.
As to the content - first half is crap as Prince is nowhere to be seen - the NPG are rehearsing alone. When Prince and Mayte turn up it is a hell of a lot better - some of the best guitar work ever! Bear in mind that it is a rehearsal and not all songs are played in full/uninterrupted.
However, I love this DVD and it gets repeated airings here.
SO thumbs up - 2 if it's the Superball version, but I doubt it.
