Eelco,

I must reply to this statement of yours. I never tried to rip you off,
We both proposed a deal. You were free to accept of deny my offer.
I have never forced anybody into a deal they didn't want to.
Also, the Gold Nigga CD didn't fetch the same prices on eBay as it
does nowadays. So what am I guilty off, other than being able to look into the future ?

About my prices : I strongly feel that there is some kind of jealousy involved.
Everybody is free to buy where they want. I don't force people to buy my
items, I merely offer them at prices that I think fit for them. The real rare
items I sell are not that easy to find, so why should I not get paid for the searching ?
Everybody is free to look for these items, I spend a lot of time and effort trying
to locate them. What is it than that I'm guilty off ?

Greetings

Yormeister

Yeah, I find those prices steep as well. Maybe it's because I bought a lot of this stuff years ago at low prices? But, hey, if this is what people pay for this, then that's what it's worth. It just makes me realize that I should have bought a lot of it in bulk back in the day wink

Well if there are some crazy people to buy those items at such outrageous prices, then let them go. Most of these items were available not so long ago on eBay for much lower prices, and i believe they might appear again in the future anyway. Collecting is a work of patience.

What is less honorable is maybe that some people buy lower-priced rare items on eBay just for re-saling them a couple of weeks later with 100% mark-up. If you look at eBay for some time, you will easily identify people who are working like this. The main thing is just to avoid them, thereafter.

Or people who go to fansites and ask to be hooked up with 3 extra copies of the Musicology giveaway cd knowing full well they're going to turn round and sell them for silly money. And then get all defensive when called out on it.

Not right, the Musicology giveaway was never for sale on my site. I'm a collector myself, those were for my own collection. A lot of would be collectors really don't know a thing about it. Maybe some of you have remarked that there are 3 different versions of the giveaway CD circulating. Just so you know wink

Why is that less honourable? look around, the whole point of business is to buy something at a lower price and to sell it at a higher price...there are some real mongs on here.

Although I agree that Yormeister uses old pricing for the item and is expensive I must say his defence that he doesn't force you to buy his things. So he can't be a thief. Its the choice of the buyer who is willing to pay a price that he thinks that is reasonable.

Some of these really aren't that rare. Madhouse CD's go on sale regularly at eBay.

But they DO sell for at least $50-60 so if they aren't rare, the buyers are all nuts!
I think its Yormeisters right to ask anything for his items.
It's not like he's the Dictator, raising the price of bread & milk to $25....?!

And he does have a lot a rare stuff, so why wouldn't he put them up for those prices?

Well, my 2 cents...
