Debbiedean, I see where you're coming from. For some reason, probably because
he makes some dumb decisions in his personal life, alledgedly, he strikes me as not sincere in his beliefs... Unlike Prince, who I believe is sincere about SEX and GOD, R seems like he's imitating, a faker. Prince is the REAL DEAL, and YES, that's an opinion. But, I don't buy that he's only turned to writing about God since getting in trouble, he's been singing about that almost since the beginning of his career. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

even if you like R. Kelly.... and even if you like spiritual songs..... how can anyone like this horrendous piece of shit of a "song"? "Awards are like hemorrhoids. Sooner or later, every asshole gets one."

I'VE BEEN TELLING PEOPLE THAT'S SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT WITH HIM FROM THE BEGINNING AND SURE AS SHIT STANK HIS DOES ALL THESE FOUL THINGS AND EXPECT PEOPLE TO OPEN THEIR ARMS AND FORGIVE HIM. THIS DUMB ASS SONG "U SAVED ME" IS ANOTHER EXAMPLE. R. KELLY CAN GO TO HELL AND STAY THERE!
Ouch. Sounds like R Kelly shit in your food or something. Well, his testicles SHOULD be nailed to a prison cell floor by now. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

It was a powerful song then and still is now. When I saw him on T.V. performing it, I couldn't turn away even though I wanted to ( I'm a conflicted Kelly fan-- some of his music is very good but I don't like him as a person). I didn't like the fact that the song was coming from him. But I was torn between awe and disgust. As is his signature, he's delivers song topics in such a relatable way that it's contagious. I'm sure a lot of so-called sinners relate to this song and the situations he illustrates. I definitely think God is not a domain exclusively for the righteous. Sinners have always sang about God. So I think with all the turmoil in Kelly's life this is expected, maybe even appropos. I'm not religious. I used to be. And the song reminded me a lot of the power of gospel. ----- If you enjoy gospel music than go listen to some real gospel music. This song just plains sucks. The lyrics are sappy and do not seem sincere. You can find bettr gospel music.

As a religious person, I feel the same way. All the time, he sang about sex, booty, whatever, and since "the girl he made the tape with" exposed him, he jumped and hid behind religion to save face..... And then he was at it again!!!!! I dunno, Robert.....I just.....don't.....know..... I feel what you're saying, but you have to understand this is not the first religious-oriented song R. Kelly has made. Remember, the man was penning gospel songs for Trin-I-Tee 5:7 and Kirk Franklin all the while he was making "secular" R&B albums for himself and others. I dunno, I personally like the song and the melody (although I haven't seen the video yet), but I just hope that R-ra has his house in order...whatever he does is between him and God.
