Ok here is the deal, my daughter is CRAZY about this band and the lead singer Brandon Boyd. Granted he is cute, and she says his music is orginal. for a child who grew up listening to Prince her standards are higher than the teen pop market. Thank God!


I have heard some of the music and it sounds good. anyone know anything else about these guys? I am taking her to a concert in September so I want to do some unbiased homework on them.

he is cool but he is not original. he is a mike patton wanna be,

the only original alterna metal bands are DEftones and Slipknot, and the first album of KORN is pretty good, the rest is crap. Mike Patton is really pissed at all these bands for stealing from him.

i havent listened to them in ages.but id say they're a arty alt rock band.sometimes his lyrics are a bit much for the songs....but otherwise some of thier stuff's ok.

I wouldnt compare them to bands like Korn and Slipknot... Two different styles! But theyre more alternative then just rock like Korn and Slip... Incubus has great music, some of it is quite funky too. Im not really feeling the new album but I really like the rest of their stuff. Theyre good in concert lots of energy! Brandon is amazing cute and I love his voice. U and ur daughter have fun!!

i know, i know very much their work, they cover Jacksons 5 live sometimes, but the guy copies even the vocal phrasing of Patton, it is so obvious, why can´t the guy make his own style? But it´s good made music, enjoy it, but it is kinda generic, i rather listen to the REAL THING, that is made better, played better ans singed better. For all the incubus fans i only say two things. Listen to:

- Angel Dust
- King for a day Fool for a lifetime

Then you come back and tell me if Incubus has a grain of salt of originality.

I dig them.They're not the greatest band on earth or anything,but I dig 'em. Dude has a great voice,in my opinion,too. Check out their last cd.Cool stuff.There are soem cool tunes on the new one,as well.
