Diana Ross..and Britney Spears

ok some of yall r probly gonna hate me 4 this but i gotta say this...i was listenin to some Diana Ross songs last night on Music Choice and for the first time i've noticed something...Diana Ross is like a 1970's Britney Spears...and Britney Spears is like a Millenium Diana Ross...I mean listenin 2 it its like damn Diana only got by on the fact that she was hot and the fact that she had some catchy songs..just like Britney..n e one agree..or disagree?
Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...
...And i'm gonna be groovy in it!

I'm sure older fans would disagree. Diana Ross was much more than just another pop star. She was (I wouldn't say is anymore) one of the first African American mega stars and those songs with the Sumpremes are classics. Also, Diana has always been more of an adult star, even when in the Sumpremes she dressed like a woman, not a girl. I don't think it was about youth with Diana, while for Britney that has been an advantage. And also, surprisingly, Britney, as far as I can tell, is making more of a dent as a songwriter (I only own the special edition of the "Diana" album but have never noticed Diana song writing credits anywhere). Just not the same.

If you can classify any Britney-penned material as "songs".
