Um, so he won a lot of awards in the past. He is not, however, the most-awarded artist in history. And this list doesn't really prove your point, right? If you want to support 'MJ's not a has-been', talk about his success now, not a career retrospective.

look at his awards in the 2002-2004 period.

if you want to know about his success now, check out how many copies number ones sold even in a situation like this. (4.5 millions)

yes he is the most awarded artist ever.

No, he isn't.

Anyway, this is useless arguing about. Why don't you PM the mods and bitch there? You'll get a more direct answer. I suggest June7, since she set up the stickies in the first place.

Perhaps you might consider an MJ forum as a better place to air your views if you find it too oppressive here.

BTW, if you look back at the past 6 pages of threads, only one MJ thread has been locked - the superfluous one about his "marriage". So where exactly are these tons of threads that are being shut down?

Weren't quite a few of them locked because they were stickies and got too big? They were replaced immediately with new ones.

I don't think there's any great conspiracy, LightOfArt - just a need to get shot of some of the superfluous ones.

I think June7 locked that thread because it was considered a "silly" thread, based on a rumor.Obviously,MJ did not marry a black woman,so what was there to discuss? Since you're a huge fan of MJ,surely you didn't want to waste time discussing silly rumors about him.

im not sayin im dying to discuss mj. its just unfair to lock them.coz there were many people writing in even that marriage one

I think June7 locked that thread because it was considered a "silly" thread, based on a rumor.Obviously,MJ did not marry a black woman,so what was there to discuss? Since you're a huge fan of MJ,surely you didn't want to waste time discussing silly rumors about him.

no i dont wanna really. but why "MJ THREADS" and nothing else?

I mean there are threads like "well, i said i was gonna post a pic of "some" of the vinyl collection... "

Um, so he won a lot of awards in the past. He is not, however, the most-awarded artist in history. And this list doesn't really prove your point, right? If you want to support 'MJ's not a has-been', talk about his success now, not a career retrospective.

...alot of useless and worthless award info...

In case you haven't noticed yet...
We live in a day and age where the likes of Eminem, Britney Spears, Limp Biscuit etc. etc. etc. win awards... Now what does that say about awards?
Oh and people who win awards should thank the people who pay for them i.e. their record company, PR people etc...
What I'm trying to say is winning an award doesn't mean you're good or talented it just means you have alot of money and publicity backup...

I was trying to prove that Michael is not a "hasbeen". And those names you mentioned are todays hot stars. so thats what I meant to say. He is NOT a has-been. thanks for backing up

and what was you gonna say If Prince was the most awarded? Awards was going to be considered important if P got them. No, but mj got them so they must be "useless and worthless"

Anyways Eminem and the others aint got the prestigous awards Mike got, like:

Bambi Awards:
Pop Artist Of The Millennium

World Music Awards:
Artist Of The Millenium

to name a few
