Fly Or Die- N.E.R.D ?

I was going to buy 'Fly or Die' by N.E.R.D on vinyl today, is it worth it? I don't have enough money to waste any of it. Is it any good? Is 'In Search Of...' better? If you bought either album can you give a little review 4 me please ? (just because you love me). lol

I like "Fly or Die", but I don't like it nearly as much as the first one. It actually sounds kinda pointless when you put it next to the first album...but if you like "In Search Of" lots and lots and lots and lots, and don't wanna hear N.E.R.D. try anything different, ya can't go wrong with "Fly or Die".

No, no...it's a great album! Don't listen to these cats, yo! wink

In Search Of... is tighter because it was played by the band Spymob....Fly or Die is looser and more indie-rock because Pharrel and Chad are playing the bulk of the instruments. Personally I almost gave up on Fly or Die too, pretty early on, but stick with it and it's rewarding! The melodies start to appear magically...

Two very different albums from two different bands under the same name! Don't be fooled, expecting them to sound the same....they're very different.

All in all, I would say yes, buy this album on vinyl, CD, whatever, but also buy In Search Of for a comparison of them in a tighter, more intricate hip-hop influenced setting.

Two different albums for different moods.

Thanks. I'll probably buy 'In search of' first since it seems to have gotten better reviews.

I was very disappointed with this cd. I don't know what he was trying to do. I know he is trying to mesh different music genres, but here it was just all over the place. On top of that Pharrell's vocals really fall through. I have came to the conclusion that he should just stick to singing hooks. Their latest single "Maybe" is ok even though the vocals are bad. The breakdown in the middle saves the song. On top of that his whole skater/playboy image is geting old

Truly Love Both Albums!!!

Truly!

Give 'Fly' some time. it will definitly hit ya at some point. to me, it keeps getting better with each listen---as dis 'In Searh Of'

many many wrote off 'ATWIAD' after 'PurpleRain'---only later to get it.

Okay, so what's the deal with "Chariot of Fire"? Am I trying to read more into it, or is it simply nonsensical?
