Madonna WOWS one of her biggest skeptics... ME!

back from tonghts madison square garden show,
i was amazed by Madonna's performance throuout the show
My Girlfriend (A huge madonnna Fan)
got us 4th row floor seats, and i was very happy with my view of Drunk White Female MAdonna fans
from the Complementary Champagne
ok i can't give a full good review,
I was Weirded out for the first 45 mins or so,
as Madonna Engaged in her new album songs which i hated
Her Sad Guitar Posing on burning up made me cringe
and i was about to walk out on the show
But then HEr Jazzy Set Made me stay, and
Madonna in Sexy stockings gave me more of a hard-on then all the haf naked drunk white girls around me
with that said the show was starting to pick up
Madonna Then Performed Don't Tell me From album music (Which i own)
my favorite song and the highlight of the event for me
Madonna's Vocals Astounded me,she only lip synced 2 songs to my knowledge which were American Life, and Die another day
Her acoustic set made put me down again, because she wasn't really plaing her guitar...
or at least not well...
Her Finale was Holiday, which was very nice

Pros:
Wholesome entertainment, HEr Vocals where astounding, and made a good show
plus she was sexy as hell

Cons:
Fake guitar playing, a few bad rendition songs, Sometimes i caught myself looking at the screen in back showing all the wierd visuals then the actual performance

Final Thought:
I No longer think Madonna is a No Talent Has been, she has gain my respect as an artist
this will be my last Concert , i don't think i'll be able to take the whole ordeal again
The only thing that really sucked about the whole night
She didn't Sing Beautiful Stranger or Ray Of light
whcih pissed off alot of fans...
But it was great

cool

It took awhile, but it looks like you're finally coming around, huh? lol

Seriously though, this is the type of show that could turn a non-fan into a diehard fanatic. It's THAT good.

SHe was totally rocking out with the guitar live...
something in your eyes is making such a fool of me....

I thought "Deeper And Deeper" was one of the highlights of this show. Her vocals are incredible, and it was bold of her to "re-invent" the song this way, turning it into a sultry, jazzy lounge ballad.

But I agree with you,"Burning Up" was great! I actually prefer this "rock" version to the original album version.

Isn't the version she performs pretty close to the 12'' version though? They remixed it and it could be considered a "rock" version.

is this the first time she's performed this live since 85? did you notice subliminal images form the video on the screens when she was performing this.

This was one song where I was exclusively focused on Madonna and not what was being shown on the video screens...lol...what were the subliminal messages??

i know she learned how to play the guitar recently but i caught her a few times not playing the correct notes
her main guitarist was backing her,
but the fans didn't really care
me as a guitarist care about stupid crap like that,

but i really liked the show
i wish she would of done Ray of light tho
but im glad she don't tell me

all and all it was a great show
she made a believer out of me
My GF has been blaring Erotica for about an hour now
i know she loved the show

Yes,for that song and "Die Another Day",Madonna is singing live with a vocoder,in order to create the sound of the original recording. She did this on the Drowned World Tour during "Nobody's Perfect".Some fans assume she's lip-syncing,but she's not.

I must say that the only thing that sort of irked me was the abrupt end when the "reinvent Yourself" screens come together. No formal bow to the audience? All you hear behind the screens is "Thank you. GOod night."

I agree, the ending was so unsatisfying. And why conclude the show with "Music" and "Holiday" anyway? She already used those songs as the finale to her last tour! In fact, considering that "Holiday" shows up on every Madonna tour,I could have really done without it this time.

Madonna should have left the stage after "Crazy For You",then came back and did a kickass 3-song encore of "Like A Virgin","Live To Tell" and maybe "Ray Of Light".That would have been a more fitting finale to what is otherwise a stunning show.
