I've come across a few in the last several years, by chance because they were cheap and I heard good things about them:

Bitter -- Me'Shell Ndegeocello

Wayne Shorter -- Speak No Evil

Madvillain -- Madvillainy (thanks to jerseykrs)

Jamie Cullum- Twentysomething

I urge you all to check this album out. He is about to blow up here in the US. Jazz/rock at its finest (well, next to Steely Dan of course). But this guy is a phenomenal talent, especially as a pianist and arranger.

The Pizza Tapes... Tony Rice, David Grisman, Jerry Garcia. I was just getting into Jerry Garcia and mentioned it to my former housemate. She said 'oh well if you like him, you'll love this...' and handed me this CD.

vivadixietransmissionsubmarine - Sparklehorse. Brilliant. Some may know a few of the songs from the movie Laurel Canyon. The band in that movie played all Sparklehorse tunes.
