sorry to break the bad news...BRITNEY SPEARS TOURCANCELLED Knee Injury Forces Britney to Cancel Tour
NEW YORK - Britney Spears (news) won't be gyrating in revealing outfits this summer — at least not on stage. The pop star canceled her summer tour Tuesday because of a knee injury she suffered last week during a video shoot with Snoop Dogg in New York for her new song "Outrageous." Her knee gave out during the choreography and afterward she underwent arthroscopic surgery. As a result, she'll be wearing a hard brace for six weeks and will require at least two months of rehabilitation, according to a statement from her label, Jive Records. Spears was scheduled to begin the summer leg of her North American tour, which featured plenty of choreographed dance numbers, June 22 in Hartford, Conn. It was to end in Bakersfield, Calif. This isn't Spears' first injury. The 22-year-old was forced to cancel two shows in March because of a problem with her knee. Her latest album, "In the Zone," was released in November and has sold more than 2.6 million copies. Let the rain come down...17 days....

All I can say is "Karma's a bitch". All these years of lip-syncing and being over-choreographered and now look at her. She can't even continue the tour without having to dance to cover up her inability to sing. I do feel somewhat sorry for her, but she's rich. She'll be fine. Okay, wheel in the next blonde pop tart without any talent. SPREAD LOVE UNTIL THE SUN'S FINAL RISE--The Duality a.k.a. "WYNTER SKYE"

and she's got a nice new boyfriend and a stepkid on the way no seriously-if the "rumours" that circulated during her european leg about her facing depression are true, i hope she pulls through this downfall... first off...don't say you're sorry to break the news. the message on my phone was filled with laughter. sorry? uh uh.
anyhow...i guess its best for her to recover and take care fo that injury so she can tour in the future. i'll just use the money (if i can get it back...i bought from someone on ebay...yikes) on the bicycle purchase i've been wanting to make. for those of you who've been applauding britney's injury or her canceled tour...whatever makes you happy, i guess. its kind of pathetic that some people actually get joy out of another's disappointment though. i'll just keep looking forward to madonna and prince...especially the aftershow at the park!

I just don't understand the entire joy overload of this situation. I like Britney but wouldn't sell out the bucks to she her mostly lip synch but some people would and good for them. I just don't see why there is such a need to tear down this girl or anyone else. Why not put that energy in discussing what you think of as good music. David Crosby, are you listening?

Was it true that she actually ran offstage crying after one show? [This message was edited Tue Jun 15 23:14:48 2004 by HelloKittyIsMyFriend] Four strings across the bridge. Ready to carry me over,Over the quavers, drunk in the bars,Out of the realm of the orchestra

I agree too. Britters seems to have been through such a battering lately and she doesn't deserve it. Sure, she's no multi talented diva but she has a distinctive, recognisable voice and dances like a dream. She's no less talented than some of these two-bit rap groups waving their chains around and hollering. I find her pretty inoffensive and even LIKE some of her stuff. I know of several people who saw her shows (not fans - but accompanying fans) and they said she was great and did not lip synch the whole shebang. Surely we could find someone more worthy of our disdain than this littel southern princess?

At least she'll be able to rest her tired voice. All that singing AND dancing at the same time must be really hard. Wonder how much lesser talents like Prince and James Brown managed it. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

yeah but britney dances to a coreography, i guess its more difficult. So only one who can do it is MJ(eg, bad tour) he danced both to a coreography and freestyled while singing hee hee...aoww...c'mon! [This message was edited Sat Jun 19 7:52:38 2004 by LightOfArt]

(LOL) "She's no less talented than some of these two-bit rap groups waving their chains around and hollering." A lot of people on this board agree with you on that one. A lot of rappers are just as untalented as Brittney and they get plenty of hate on this board.
