Tiffany.......New inside! Hey, remember Tiffany's "Urban" album "New inside" in 1990? That is the only album i have of Tiffs and I really don't like her other stuff but some of this album is good though:-
Album was a big bomb 4 Tiffany at the time as Tiff tried to be hip and more agressive on a pop/NewJack tip musically! Ultimately album is OK 4 high tec pop fans like me so thats cool! My personal fav's "Never run my moter down" (a song co-written by Andre cymone) It has a good positive message too! Title track ("New inside") is cool but way to long. I actually quite like the chorus as it does get catchy on repeated listens! Again very high tec with harsh drum programming that i love. "it's u" is another song that is too damn long! Again very high tec, but more Newjack influenced I guess! "Tenderly" is a typical late 80's ballad that has typical rain effects and nice sounds which is the main reason I like this track! "Hear in my heart"- A super power ballad that I instantly liked at first hearing (album in general takes repeated listens on most tracks to grow on u I think)! This song should of been huge! Great vocally on this track too! I don't usually dig power ballads but this is one of the very few exceptions! Gorgeous! "Tiffs back" is high tec embarrassment I'm afraid (which is what critics said about whole album! ) The critisisms on this and Debbie Gibsons album of same year ("Anything is possible") were unfair but I think they were just too poppy still and not NewJack enough like Paual abdul or Janet jackson! (Debbies was alot poppier then Tiffs "New inside" album but infact did not bomb anywhere near as badly as this) Anyone dig this album (or "Anything is possible")! Which was better etc?.....personally I prefer "Anything..." but someone must of at least had this album! [This message was edited Sun Jun 20 7:41:00 2004 by thesexofit]

Yeah I have it. I think it's a really cool album. I think if she came out (or would've been allowed to) come out with that sound on her previous album; she may have had greater success. Damn...now I've got to listen to it. Been a while.
But her last album "Color of Silence" is fan-f*cking-tastic! I remember Billboard magazine comparing it to Alanis Morissette's "Jaged Little Pill". Unfortunately not many people heard it.
