I was told that he did a tribute to him last nite in Dallas at Erykah Badu's afterjam.
with his 2 pc. band & KILLED IT !!

my cousin said that he did "Sister" even better than "Prince" ?!?!
(Foley is known for taking folks' songs & flippin' it )

"I Just Saw Prince, Foley and Badu Perform For $15."

For $15 I say Foley, Prince and Badu get busy.

I had to wait about 3 hours of run of the mill neo-soul acts, and Badu's little sister and her wack ass band. There is a reason why Badu's little sister is not on a major. She does this progressive rock thing with a very wack ass band. The poetry shit is also tired. She sported a tore up red wig, and claims she is free so she can wear a red wig, etc. It just comes off as an excuse to try to be wierd or seem ecentric. Also, she is little to abrasive towards the crowd, she lacks the glow of her big sister. her group is called Narock, and they are wack, imgaine a neo-soul band attempting progressive rock. Message to lil Badu: Go get a new band.

There was a blind guy, that played some stevie tracks, and played all the instruments. His set carried on a lil too long.

It's very hard for anyone to perform when the crowd knows NPG is in the house. Chants of "hurry up and sang," could be heard.

FOLEY: was the only act to hold it down, even with a very horrid sound system. He performed Sister, and dedicated it to Prince. "Im going to perform one song I know he didn't perform." His rendition was excellent, only a few in the crowd knew the song. There were alot of "new" Prince fans abound that night. Foley performed a song of his new album, with just him and his drummer. And White Stripes get love for their wack blues re-hash white boy trashy shit. I was impressed with Foley. It was fortunate that teh sound system was horrid. Shit sounded like they were playing on Wal Mart amps. Foley announced he is moving to Plano, Texas. He has been in Dalls since March.

Badu out shinned Prince at the Afterparty. Badu was in her best form. Boy has she improved in all areas. Her set was super tight and spirtual. She performed GREEN EYES, I WANT YOU and two other older cuts. She had the crowd in her hand. She brought raw emotion, unlike what seemed like contrived efforts from her sister, to the stage. She even flashed the audience! Her band is about mid-grade, not bad, not outstanding. I am starting to think that Badu's baby is actually Prince's. I have seen them both on several occasions. You can see the love they have for each other. Prince was digging the hell out of I WANT U. I must say Prince is very accessible. He walked through the audience several times, and NO ONE touched him or anything. After the show, he even came back without security and walked around the lobby with Badu. It was funny to see his security pointing were he went. But what do you say to Prince? It is very odd when you are inches away from Prince, and you realize that he is more normal then you could ever imagine. It really catches you off guard. Just imagine Prince giving people dap, etc.

But of course, there always has to be a stalker around: your typical white Prince fag (your m types) that shows up looking like Prince, wears Purple suits etc. There was this white Prince fag in a purple suit that keep following Prince around. The security pushed him in the opposite direction every time, He was also on stage at the concert.

The venue was in South Dallas, the hub of Dallas talent. The sound was horrible. After Badu's set Prince walked through the crowd and set up shop. The sound was horrid, and even Prince played the sound man for majority of his set. I must say NPG had a very off night at the gig due to the sound problems. He performed mostly with his back to the crowd, directing the band. The high-lit of the aftershow was seeing Candy Dufler turn BRIGHT RED after missing her second cue. That was priceless. The NPG Jam session was basically: Housequake for 40 minutes. The crowd loved it. I must say Rhonda is FINE. Candy is thick. Chance has lost some pounds. Renato is still boring. Maceo Parker is clearly better than Candy and the other guy. Greg Boyer was def missed. Man, if only Roy Hargroove was around. Blackwell is a VERY important part yo Prince's current success. Prince pays very close attention to the drummer. He is always looking at the drummer.

Audience: 21 and up. Cheap drinks. Fag types to Thugs to Cowboys. Everyone was there. Hot. Bad sound system. Very nice staff. Amazing crowd control, well organized.

Ratings: B- , Badu saved the night.
The sound was just too bad for Prince to do anything. Foley was amazing, but the sound almost ruined it. The other acts were wack tired neo-soul hacks. The Dallas Aftershow at Redjacket during the ONA tour was by far better, specially cince I have it on CD also.

Who was the author of that article/review? Doesn't anybody bother proofreading anymore? Why bother getting upset at those who write yet can't spell, my health isn't getting any better for the cause.
