This is one of my albums of the summer, even though I've been listening to it for years. "Mr. Blue Sky", "Turn to Stone", "Standing in the Rain", "Big Wheels"....it's fun, over the top, overwrought, melodramatic, rollerboogiestastic brilliance.

I used to love that album.

ALL this time we've been friends - and I NEVER knew! Im so impressed.

I used 2 have the vinyl of that with the UFO freebie inside!

Now Ive got a small, remastered (but great sounding) CD copy. Great album.

i had the vinyl of that with the UFO toy inside too! man, that was awesome. i got that when i was like 8 years old and i thought it was the coolest thing in the world. now all i have is a CD version too, and a crappy CD version at that. if there's a fancy schmancy remaster, i'm gonna have to buy it. i just love that album too much.

welll, if we're gonna be brutally honest, XANADU is my favorite ELO album...but is it really an ELO album? it's my favorite olivia newton john album, too.

WHAAAT???? Get thee to a wrecka stow!!! There's a pretty decent "Essential ELO" best-of CD that came out not long ago, that seems to be selling for cheep. But I'd go right for the good stuff....Out of the Blue and Discovery (and OF COURSE, Xanadu...you don't have THAT on CD??? oh my goodness...)!

I didn't even know what gay WAS until I heard the Xanadu soundtrack for the first time. I'd heard about this whole "gay" thing, sure...but it wasn't until I heard that album that I smacked myself on the forehead and said "EUREKA!!!"
