DONNY HATHAWAY-These songs for you LIVE! What a thrill!!!
I just got home with the new cd with some previously unreleased livesongs.what a reminder how great this man really was. After been listening 2 "LIVE" & "In performance" 4 about a million times,2 hear these new live versions of songs like "Flying easy" & "Someday we'll all be free" (a stripped down version with Donny at the piano) & his version of Stevie Wonders "Where were you when I needed you" in headphones is truly amazing.Like travelling back in time & B in the same room. What a performer! & what a band!!! & what a treasure they found in the vault! /peace Manki

I picked it up today and Im enjoying it as I type this. "...all you need ...is justa touch...of mojo hand....."

I'm loving Stevie's "Superwoman", where he references Stevie as "The Black Pool of Genius", which verifies he admired Stevie as much as Stevie admired him. Little Ghetto Boy, The Ghetto & his covers of Leon Russell's "A song for you" & Blood Sweat & Tears "I love you more than you'll ever know" are just as great as the recorded versions. This cd is definitely a must for Donny fans, but fans of great live recordings & music in general. Just go get it, if you don't have it y'all.
And the interview is something special 4 those who haven't witnessed any of his radio or press interviews
