Kool and the gang have just released a sorta greatest hits album but with all the songs being covered by current artists.
But Liberty X? Blazin' Squad? oh god why?!!? What the hell are these fellas doing to there songs? sad

btw, it seems they need money really bad....

last week they replaced the backing band on a German TV talk show (similar to Letterman & co) for a coupe of days, they played their greates hits fading in & out during commercial breaks... confused

Does the world's discount record bin really need a Kool & the Gang tribute album? If anyone has endured listening to this mess, who takes J.T. Taylor's place as the musical death nail? Are any of the groups on this album worth listening to on ther own?

So,what's up with Kool and the Gang these days anyway? Are they still touring without James "JT" Taylor? I love them, but honestly,I wouldn't go see them UNLESS JT was back in the band.It would suck hearing some other unknown singer trying to sing "Ladies Night", "Too Hot" or "Joanna".

Tru. And I don't think JT is with them right now. at least he was not present at that German TV show (see couple of posts above)
